The second-hand marketplace Members Voice Anger Regarding Sizing Updates
Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The popular resale platform has altered its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes without notifying all shoppers about the modification.

Many shoppers and sellers are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the new system was more in line with other platforms.
The platform has recommended to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction.
Measurement Approach Updates
Previously, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10.
The new system has an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
User Experiences
Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million users, with 18 million British users.
It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time that an unexpected update within the service has received backlash: last year, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
